I have over 23 years of experience in photography, specialising in fine art and cultural heritage. I am dedicated to capturing and preserving art with precision and care. My extensive technical skills enable me to produce, manage, and preserve specialist images with consistency and accuracy. While most of my career has been in the contemporary art world, I have recently shifted my focus to the cultural heritage sector. As a member of The Association for Historical and Fine Art Photography, I am committed to continuous learning and maintaining the highest standards in art documentation.

Originally from Dublin, I moved to London in 1992 to study for a B.A. in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. After graduating, I travelled across Europe, South America, and Asia, building a diverse portfolio of photography. Upon returning to London, I worked as a colour printer at Primary Colour, a high-end photographic lab, and assisted many of the city's top commercial photographers.

In 2004, a photograph of a Mexican street photographer helped launch my career, leading to my first commission with Sunday Times Travel magazine—a partnership that lasted ten years. Other clients have included Wanderlust, Geographical, Harrods, Coast magazines, Visit England, and Odyssey Marine Exploration.

In 2014, I began specialising in documenting contemporary art in controlled studio environments as well as on-location at museums, galleries, and studios. My expertise includes photographing paintings, works on paper, installations, and sculptures for documentation, publication, and archival purposes. Over the years, I've built long-term relationships with many contemporary artists, creating an extensive archive of their work, a documentary project of talent in the artworld, capturing artists in their own creative spaces.

With over 15 years of experience using Capture One and Adobe software, I have developed a streamlined digital workflow that ensures efficient, high-quality image processing. I have also worked with Phase One , Broncolour and Profoto to produce photography to the highest standards available today .

In 2024, I joined the Photography team at the National Gallery on a part-time basis to work on the Digital Dossier Program. Following the completion of that project, I transitioned into a full-time role there. I am driven by a continuous desire to develop my skills and knowledge in photography—it's my passion and what motivates me every day.
